Frances Hambly spent her early years in the Netherlands and Switzerland, and was brought up in a family who used herbs and natural remedies. Finding the details of The School of Herbal Medicine in Tunbridge Wells when she was fourteen, Frances went on to complete the full-time course there, becoming a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists in 1988. She has been in practice since then.
Frances was an external examiner for the final clinical exams on the Herbal Medicine BSc and MSc courses at Middlesex University, and an Individual Accreditation assessor for NIMH. She is a mentor for newly qualified NIMH members.
She is has written two books, “Herbalism” co-authored with Paul Hambly, published in 1993 and “Herbal Medicine for Children” published in 2004.
Frances practices in East Sussex, where she runs a multi-disciplinary clinic and herbal dispensary which was established in 1999.
